How to Add an Image to an Email?
To add an image to your email, you must first have a section added. Then, go to tools & modules, in the blocks section. Click and drag the image block into the empty space of the section.
You can also add an image below an existing block if you want the image to be inside one section with another block.
After that, you can:
- Upload an image from a local computer
- Upload an image via a link
- Choose an image from your image library
- Upload an image from stock
How to Upload an Image from a Local Computer?
Click on the image block and in the right panel, click on the upload icon or drag and drop the desired image there.
How to Upload an Image via a Link?
To upload an image in an email that is located via a link, open the image block settings and in the right panel, in the External link section, paste the link to your image.
❗️Important: The image will be inserted into the email with the dimensions from the link. If the image is too large or small, it can affect the weight of the email and how the image is displayed.
It's also important that only the image opens when opening your image link. Links leading to image storage (like Google Drive or Dropbox) or to file downloads should not be used.
How to Upload an Image from the Image Library?
To upload an image from the image library, go to the image block settings and in the right panel, go to the library tab. Then, select the desired image.
How to Upload an Image from Stock?
To add a stock image, go to the image block settings and enter the Stock tab. Here, you can choose which stock to search on and write a query for the search. Click on the appropriate image, and it will appear inside the email.
How to Delete an Image?
To delete an image, click on the image block and in the right panel, press the X icon. The image will be removed, leaving an empty image block.
How to Change an Uploaded Image?
To set a different image instead of the one previously installed, click on the image block and in the right panel, press the image replacement icon. After that, the image upload window will open, and you can select a different picture.
Image Settings
In Markeaze, there are several settings for an image block:
- Alt text (the text that appears if your image cannot be loaded. It's recommended to always set this, as mail services may lower your spam rating without alt text).
- Add a link to the image (clicking on the image will redirect to a specified page).
- Set a hover for the image (the image changes to another one you set when hovered over).
- Change the image size (in width, in pixels).
- Make the image full screen.
- Set a background color under the image.
- Set a border style for the image block.
- Align the image (align the image to the right, left, or center).
- Set paddings for the image (distance below, to the left, to the right, or above the image).
- Enable or disable the display of the image block on desktop or mobile devices.
- Convert the image block to HTML.

How to Create a Hover Effect on an Image?
Hover is an additional image that is placed under the main one. When viewing an email from a desktop and hovering over an image block with hover, the original image will be replaced by the additional one, and vice versa when the mouse moves away.
This is a convenient feature for demonstrating products, for example.

How to Add a Separate Image for Dark Theme?
For optimal email display in dark mode, Markeaze offers the ability to add a different image for the dark theme, which will differ from the regular version. This way, you can create light and dark versions of banners or products, ensuring your email looks perfect on all devices.

Picture Library Management
The image library is a section in Markeaze where all the images you have uploaded to emails are saved. You can reuse them in emails and store them in one place without fear of losing them.
You can also upload pictures for a project before you start creating emails for it and delete images from the image library.

Utilizing Stock Images in Emails
You can use stock images for your emails. Marqeaze is integrated with two stock image databases - Pixabay and Pexels. The search in these databases is limited to free images with open licenses.
