Setting Image Hover Effect
Hover is an additional image that is placed under the main one. When viewing an email from a desktop and hovering over an image block with hover, the original image will be replaced by the additional one, and vice versa when the mouse moves away.
Hover images, activated when a mouse cursor is placed over them, are commonly found on the internet. Online shopping websites often have product images where an alternative view of the product is displayed when a visitor hovers over the image. Hover images allow for more information to be displayed without cluttering the page. However (and this is important), hover images increase the code size of your email.
Therefore, for emails with a large number of hover images, you should follow these rules:
- Compress images before uploading.
- Don't make images larger than the block (if your image block is 300 pixels, the image should also be 300 pixels).
- Check the size of the email before sending it.
❗️ Important: Hover effects are supported in Gmail, Apple Mail, Yahoo Mail, and AOL. Matching image aspect ratios ensure the best visual results.
