A section in emails is an element for nesting content. A section consists of 1, 2, 3, or 4 columns, which can be configured in width, and each column can contain a content block (for example, text, an image, or a button).

How to Add a Section to an Email?

To add a section, go to the tools and modules panel (1st icon at the top on the right panel) and enter the layouts section. There, you will see options for sections with one or several columns. Click and drag the desired option to the place in the email where you want to insert the section.

How to Move a Section?

To move a section to another place, click on it and select the first icon on the right with arrows. Click and hold the icon and move the section to your desired location.

How to Duplicate a Section?

To make a duplicate of a section, click on the section and in the window, select the second icon on the left with the copy symbol. A duplicate of the section will appear below the original.

How to Make a Saved Module from a Section?

To save and create a pre-made module from a section, click on the section and click on the third icon on the left. In the right panel, you will see settings for saving the module.Name the module, provide a description (optional), select a category, and decide who can see your section.

How to Delete a Section?

To delete a section, click on the desired section and click on the fourth icon on the left with the trash can symbol. After that, the section will be deleted.

Settings for a Section in Light Theme

When you click on a section, you will see a panel on the right with various settings. Here you can:

  • Set the width of the columns and the space between them
  • Configure the background (set a color for the section background, add an image to the background, and set up the border for the background)
  • Set paddings (spaces between the content inside the section and the sides of the email)
  • Enable or disable the display of the section on PC or mobile devices
  • Convert the section to HTML

How to Set the Width of Columns and the Space Between Them?

To set the size of columns, first add a section with one or more columns from the layout section. Then, click on a column and at the top of the right panel, you will see the sizes. Set your dimensions for each column.

The total size of the columns is affected by paddings on the sides and the indent between columns. By default, the width of the entire email is 600 pixels. To make the columns equal in width, press the '=' icon.

To edit the size between columns, set a value in 'indent between'.

How to Set a Background Color or Image for a Section?

You can set a section background in two ways:

  1. Through Appearance
  2. Through section settings

Here's how to set a section background through Appearance. With this setting, the background of all sections will have the same color or image.

To make the background of a specific section colored, click on the section and in the right panel, under the background section, select the desired color.

To set an image for the section background, click on the section and in the right panel, toggle next to 'image'.

Then, you can upload an image, insert a link to an image, or choose one from your library.

Edit the size of the image, enable image repetition, or stretch the image to the full width of the section.

How to Set a Border for a Section?

To add a border to a section, click on the section and in the right panel, enable the toggle next to 'border style'.

After that, you can set the thickness, color, rounding, and style of the border.

How to Set Paddings on the Right, Left, Top, and Bottom of Columns?

To set the distance on the sides of a column or columns, click on the section and in the right panel, edit the padding values.

How to Enable or Disable Display of the Section on Desktop or Mobile Devices?

To enable or disable the display of the section on a certain type of device, click on the section and at the bottom of the right panel, select one of the display options for the section: on all devices, on desktop, or on mobile devices. This setting allows hiding sections if the email is opened on a computer or phone.

How to Convert a Section HTML?

To convert a section to HTML and be able to edit the code directly, click on the section and at the very bottom of the right panel, click on the 'convert block to HTML' button.

After this, you will not be able to add blocks inside the section or edit settings, you will only have a field with the HTML code of that section. This setting is made for professionals, and we do not recommend using it without knowledge of HTML coding
