How to Add a Video Block to an Email?
To add a video block to your email, go to the email and navigate to the tools & modules panel (1st icon at the top on the right panel), and go to the blocks section. Click and drag the video block into an empty section, or above or below an existing block.
After that, add the video link in the right panel under the Video link section.
What Types of Videos Can Be Added to Emails?
You can only add videos uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo.
How to Add an Image for the Video Cover?
To set a cover image for the video, click on the video block after you have added the video link. In the right panel, switch the toggle next to Custom image.
Then, upload an image from your computer or an image link.
How to Change the Size of the Video?
To change the size of the video, click on the video block and in the right panel under the sizing section, adjust the size by moving the slider or entering the desired video width in pixels.
You can make the video full-width by enabling Adjust to width. The maximum width of the video in an email is 600 pixels.
How to Modify the Button for Watching the Video?
You can change the appearance of the button overlaying the video with the YouTube or Vimeo image. Marquis offers 9 button styles. The button can also be disabled if it's already present on the placeholder image.
To change the button, click on the video block and in the right panel, find the style section. Next to the Play button, click on the dropdown menu and select the appropriate type of button.
How to Change the Background Color Under the Video?
To change the background under the video, click on the video block and in the right panel, find the background section. Here, you can set the background color in hex format.
How to Change the Border of the Video Block?
To change the border of the video block, click on the video block and in the right panel, find the background section. Enable the toggle next to border style. There, you can set the width, color, style, and corner rounding of the border.
How to Change the Position of the Video Block?
You can change the alignment of the video and position it to the right, left, or center. To do this, click on the video block and in the right panel, find the position section. Choose the alignment for the video.
How to Change Padding for the Video?
To change the spacing below, above, or on the sides of the video, click on the video block and in the right panel, under the position section, set the padding sizes. To enable different paddings, click on the rectangle icon, and a window will open below.

Video Settings for Mobile Theme
In the mobile version of the email, you can adjust:
- Size (width of the video)
- Make the video full-width
- Change the alignment of the video
- Set paddings
- Or hide the video on desktop or mobile devices
To do this, go to the mobile version of the email, click on the video block, and make the necessary changes in the right panel.
Video Settings for Dark Mode
In the dark mode of the editor, you can only edit the background under the video. To do this, switch to the dark version of the email, click on the video block, and set the color in hex format in the right panel.
