General Principles of Working with Text Color in Markeaze

In Markeaze, there are three levels of text management:

  1. Text styles (lowest level)
  2. Text block settings (middle level)
  3. WYSIWYG editor (highest level)When moving to a higher level and changing settings, the settings of the previous level are overwritten. For example, if you set the text color to black through text styles and then change the text color to red in the WYSIWYG editor, the text will be red.

Each of these levels allows varying degrees of customization for the color in dark mode. Let's explore how this works.

  1. We have an email with three text blocks. Through text styles, we set the style for the common text. Now all our blocks have the same color.

  2. In the second block, we decided the text should be red and set this through text settings to edit the dark version.

  3. In the third block, we need to highlight one word in red, and it should remain red in any theme. For this, we assign the color through the WYSIWYG editor.

How to Set Text Color Through Text Styles?

Text styles are a general setting of text styles for the email. For each style, you can assign a set of parameters, and when assigning this style to text, they will automatically apply. This is the lowest setting of styles, which can be overwritten when changing text parameters in text settings or through the WYSIWYG editor.

  1. Go to the text styles section within your email (third icon from the top on the right panel).
  2. Choose a color for each of the text styles.

How to Set Text Color in the WYSIWYG Editor?

The WYSIWYG editor is the highest setting of text style, overriding parameters set through text styles or text settings. We recommend using the WYSIWYG editor to set text color only if you need to highlight a word or sentence. The color set through the WYSIWYG editor cannot be changed for dark mode; it will remain the same

as set for the light theme.

  1. Highlight the word or phrase.
  2. Use the toolbar at the top of the screen to set the text color.
