Why it is important to have optimized mobile view for emails?

Having an optimized mobile view in emails is crucial due to the significant shift in how users access and interact with their emails. Here are some key points backed by relevant statistics:

  1. High Mobile Usage: As of 2021, nearly 62% of all email opens occurred on mobile devices. With the majority of users checking their email on smartphones, not optimizing for mobile can lead to a poor user experience.
  2. Better Engagement: Emails optimized for mobile have a 15% higher click-through rate compared to non-optimized emails. Mobile-optimized emails are easier to read and interact with, leading to better engagement metrics.
  3. Increased Conversion Rates: 65% of all email-driven orders come from mobile devices. A mobile-optimized email design is more likely to drive sales, as it provides a better shopping experience for users on their phones.
  4. User Preference: About 75% of users say they prefer to read emails on their mobile devices. Catering to this preference can increase satisfaction and improve the overall perception of your brand.
  5. Reduced Email Deletion: 42% of users delete emails that don’t display correctly on their mobile devices. Non-optimized emails risk being ignored or deleted, reducing the effectiveness of your email campaigns.
  6. Faster Loading Time: Mobile-optimized emails load faster on mobile devices. Slow-loading emails are often abandoned by users, which can negatively impact your email campaign's performance.
  7. Bounce Rate Reduction: Mobile users are five times more likely to abandon a task if the site isn’t optimized for mobile. A non-optimized email can lead to a higher bounce rate, especially when it links to your website or landing page.
