How does the Tags work?

Tags are very similar to the segments in your email marketing strategy. The only difference between these two elements is that: tags are static and won’t change any of the contacts, while segments can and will change some of their conditions if there are any significant changes in the metrics.

Let’s review how you can group your contacts and easily find the ones you need with Tags inside Markeaze.

Method #1 - Contact list

Step #1 - Navigate to the Audience tab

First, click on the Audience to show all existing contacts on the top bar of your working space.

Step #2 - Access your imported contacts

On the new screen, click the All contacts button to the left to display your uploaded contacts.

Step #3 - Group your contacts according to the specific criteria

We will group contacts according to the filter showing only those contacts with a Gmail account for demonstration purposes. You can make a custom filter based on other criteria; feel free to explore what kind of condition you can set.

First, click the Add filter button and choose the Email option from the list.

Select the “ends with” filter, type in “gmail.com,” and click the Done button.

Now you will be presented with a list of all contacts with a Gmail account. Tick all of them or select a few. It is up to you.

Click on the Add tag button and the Add new button at the bottom of the screen.

Name your new tag as “Gmail Contacts” or any other suitable name and click Save tag.

If you were to navigate to the Tags tab, located on the left, you would see that this tag has been created along with the contacts inside it. You can easily segment those contacts or add them to the upcoming email campaign.
